Who We Are...

Supporting the Next Generation of Artists, the fair way.

BANG: Blackstone Art Next Generation is a contemporary commercial gallery dedicated to discovering, nurturing, and showcasing exceptional emerging artists. A sister gallery to The Linda Blackstone Gallery (est. 1985), BANG was founded to challenge conventional gallery models and to champion the next generation of contemporary art.

Run by an artist, for artists, the gallery operates with a deep understanding of both creative practice and the realities of the commercial art world. We prioritise artistic integrity while actively supporting sustainable, long-term careers, working closely with artists at the very beginning of their professional journeys; when early belief, advocacy, and opportunity can have the greatest impact.

We focus on high-calibre emerging contemporary artists, those whose practices are process-led or conceptually ambitious.

We are particularly committed to artists whose work may not traditionally sit comfortably within a commercial gallery setting, but whose ideas and originality demand serious attention.

Our Story

After more than a decade working within the commercial art world, it became increasingly clear that much of the sector had grown risk-averse. The same artists, aesthetics, and safe choices were being repeated, often at the expense of genuinely new and exciting voices.

At the same time, I was encountering exceptionally talented artists at the very start of their careers. Serious, driven practitioners producing culturally relevant work, who struggled to access meaningful representation. Many were overlooked not because of the quality of their work, but because their practices were too experimental, too process-led, or too conceptually focused for traditional commercial frameworks.

BANG was created in response to this gap. The gallery exists to support the artists I resonated with most: those with fresh perspectives, strong conceptual foundations, and the potential to build long-term, sustainable careers, if given the right support at the right moment.
